Disk Space Usage ("the App") is an application developed by Snow Line Software ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what data the App handles and what happens to it.
The short version: the App collects nothing and sends nothing anywhere. Everything it reads stays on your Mac.
No information is collected whatsoever. The App has no account system, no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising and no third-party components. It is distributed without any network capability, so it cannot transmit anything even in principle.
To measure how much space things take up, the App reads file names, sizes, dates and folder structure. It does this only for locations you choose: a folder you pick in the open panel, a folder you drag onto the window, or one of the quick locations you click.
The App does not read the contents of your files, only their names and sizes. It never modifies, moves, renames or deletes anything. Scan results are held in memory while the App is open and are discarded when you close it or start a new scan.
Two things persist between launches, both inside the App's own sandbox container on your computer:
Neither is transmitted anywhere. You can clear the recent list at any time from the sidebar, and removing the App removes both.
The App collects no data from anyone, including children.
