Image Shrink Privacy Policy

Effective Date: 08/10/2026

Introduction

Image Shrink ("the App") is an application developed by Snow Line Software ("we," "us," or "our") for resizing and compressing images on your Mac. This Privacy Policy explains what data the App handles and what happens to it.

The short version: your photos are processed on your Mac only. The App collects nothing and sends nothing anywhere.

Information We Collect

No information is collected whatsoever. The App has no account system, no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising and no third-party components. It is distributed without any network capability, so it cannot transmit anything even in principle.

Your Photos

Photo Metadata

Photos often contain metadata such as the camera model, lens, date taken and GPS location. By default, exported images keep camera details and have GPS location removed. You can choose to keep location data or to remove all metadata in the App's settings. This metadata is only copied from your original file into the exported file; it is never sent anywhere.

What the App Stores on Your Mac

Only your settings (such as the resize mode, output format, quality and file name suffix) and the last export folder you used are stored, using standard macOS preferences inside the App's sandbox. Removing the App removes them.

Children

The App collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. Please review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed about our information practices.
